In Barcelona’s 0-4 win, Patrick Kluivert scored a hattrick, and raised his fist in the air after scoring the team’s 0-1 and the 0-3 to represent black power. Throughout the match, Mallorca fans could be heard making jungle noises, whistling, and racially abusing Kluivert every time he got close to get the ball. The powerful gestures were his way of responding to the abuse and giving a voice to the problem of racism.
